About Amos

Amos is a writer, director, and actor living in Los Angeles. His writing credits include The New Yorker, The Onion, ClickHole, Funny or Die, and the Emmy-nominated Night of Too Many Stars. He is a founding member of the sketch comedy group Boat, writer and director of the web series Girl Next Door, and teaches sketch comedy writing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Amos was born in North Carolina and has degrees in Spanish and Peace and Conflict studies from UC Berkeley for some reason.



Maddie has bad luck with men…probably because she’s constantly followed by a gaggle of ex-boyfriends that only she can see. This surreal comedic short explores the difficulty of living in the present when baggage from the past is still running the show.
